  • Steering and docking a motor boat.

  • How the wind, waves and boat speed effect boat handling.

  • How to tie four essential knots, coil and secure lines.

  • Essentials of Anchoring

  • Safety equipment on board and how to use it.

  • How to read a nautical chart and use a compass.

  • Plus lots of other nautical information, with plenty of chances to ask whatever questions you might have.

We limit the activity to a maximum of 5 students so you will have personal attention.

Your official Yachting Australia log book is included for your certification to be endorsed by the Waterways Authority for your boat licence. There is an additional Waterways licence fee of $36 for a 1 year licence or $89 for 3 years.
