Assurance
of Your Yachting Skills
No formal certification is required to charter a bareboat
yacht with Club Sail. Your qualification is based on
your sailing experience, however we must both feel confident
that your skills are adequate enough to handle the yacht,
and we will require you to note your sailing experience
on the charter contract. If you feel that you would like
to learn more about sailing or gain more experience,
please discuss with us the options available to you through
our sailing school.
Your
Guarantee Of Charter
The yacht of your choice is reserved only for you, and
your prepayment will guarantee this. Upon confirmation
of your booking, Club Sail will ask you for a 50% deposit,
with the balance payable 7 days prior to your charter.
This is an easy phone procedure, as we accept Eftpos
for Visa/Mastercard/Bankcard/Diners Club and American
Express. In cases of cancellation inside 7 days, Club
Sail reserves the right to withhold your deposit. If
you choose to transfer your charter to an alternate date,
no cancellation fee will apply providing the new charter
date is rebooked within 48 hours. Full refunds are only
given due to inclement weather. Club Sail will determine
the suitability of weather conditions.
Club
Sail's Charter Times
Because your yacht charter is a complete experience,
we make sure you can enjoy 'full days' on the water,
departing from 8.30 am and returning by 4.30 pm and 5.30pm
during daylight saving months. For weekend charterers,
Club Sail will give you extra value for money. We invite
you to board from mid afternoon on Friday free of charge.
Your briefing can be done either Friday afternoon, daylight
permitting, or 8.30am on Saturday.
Security
on the Water
Yacht insurance is included in the charter rate, protecting
you against any mishaps. The insurance excess is $1,000
on all yachts. Club Sail asks you to pay this security
bond for the time you are on the water. It is fully reimbursable
to you within a few days, providing the yacht is returned
in an undamaged and clean state and without any breakages
or losses.

Before
you Step Onboard
Your yacht is prepared for you with great care and attention
to comfort, luxury, detail and mechanical safety. All
our yachts are in current Waterways survey and are of
the highest safety standard with life jackets, life rings,
VHF radios and first aid kits onboard. Coordinated bed
linens and bath towels are included for overnight chartering.
Your
Yacht Charter Starts Here
Our practical yacht and safety briefings are streamlined
and thorough. One of our team will guide you through
all there is to be aware of in the safe handling of your
charter yacht. We'll take you through the charts and
maps so you can discover those special 'out of the way'
places. Club Sail is at your service at anytime during
your charter to assist you.
Living
Onboard
You will find
quality cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and galley utensils,
necessary for creating your feasts onboard. Local Newport
shops and the Woolworth's supermarket at nearby Mona
Vale are handy for supplies and alcohol. All yachts feature
bathrooms with toilets and showers, cassette or CD player
(TV and VCR on some), gas stoves, oven, refrigeration,
BBQ, tea towels, garbage bags, washing up equipment and
toilet paper. Wet weather gear and snorkelling equipment
is available on request. Please see the
rates and features table for the features on each
yacht. For overnight charterers, coordinated bed linen,
towels, hand towels, pillows and doonas are included
on your yacht.

Marine
Cuisine
Club Sail's 'Marine Cuisine' will take the hassle out
of your list of 'things to do'. Let Club Sail do the
shopping, as it will save you time onshore and give you
more time on the water. It can also be a special surprise,
for the lady of the yacht! We provide a choice of healthy
and delicious menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Call us for full details.
Hawkesbury
Stopover
Visit Akuna Bay Marina
and take advantage of their great facilities, restaurant/bar
and licensed general store. There is an allowance for
Club Sail charterers to utilise the casual marina berths,
and you will be guided in by the dockmaster. There are
also other top restaurants to nosh at during your charter
in the Hawkesbury area.
On
Arrival At Club Sail
come to the Newport Anchorage Marina, Office 10,
Marina level, 79-81 Beaconsfield St, Newport. That's
right next to the Newport Arms Hotel on the corner of
Beaconsfield and Kalinya St. .
What
to Bring
Your
yacht will have most of what you will need already onboard.
You really only have to bring personal items - clothing,
toilet kit, alcoholic beverages. The weather in Sydney
is normally comfortable all year round, but you can check
the weather conditions just prior to coming on www.bom.gov.au
and decide on the best clothing to bring to suit the
season. The Bavaria yachts already have wet weather clothing
but if you have your own, bring it along.
Please
Note
Our yachts have a 'smoke free zone' below decks. Please
no eskies, as all the yachts have adequate refrigeration
for food & beverages. Thank you for your consideration
also by wearing non marking soled shoes.
