The Leading Sailing School in Pittwater, bringing new vision to Yachtmaster TrainingHi, we are Chris & Debbie Brown. We founded Club Sail in 1994 to help people like you explore the outdoors, feel the wind on your face and enjoy the spirit of sailing. We are passionate about sharing the adventure of sailing the ocean with you and helping you gain the skills you need to sail on it safely. We selected Pittwater as the best place to learn how to sail because it is close to Sydney, a safe and sheltered inshore environment and part of the beautiful labyrinth of wilderness waterways of the Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. This area is a pure delight and an adventure to explore as you build your experience through the Competent Crew and Inshore Skipper levels. Pittwater also has easy access to the high seas of the Tasman Sea where we will take you for adventuring along the beautiful NSW coastline and to help build your skills up to the Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster levels - and if you really love sailing we can take you beyond the recreational level to become a steward/stewardess, deck hand, officer or skipper on superyachts sailing the world. Club Sail offers two sets of sailing courses:1. Australian Yachting Association (YA) courses from Learn to Sail to Yachtmaster. 2. International Yachtmaster Training Courses from recreational bareboat sailing right up to offshore professional captain on superyachts . Your learning experience will be very similar for both sets of recreational Australia or International sailing courses. They start with an introduction to yachting through to an offshore yachtmaster certification. The major difference between the two systems is that the International Yachtmaster Training certification is accepted in 23 countries and with major international chartering companies like the Moorings. So if you plan to head offshore to charter a yacht in New Caledonia, go sailing in Vanuatu, or charter in the Med, you'll probably do better sailing towards the yachtmaster bareboat captain's certificate. For the aspiring professional crew or skipper of an international Super Yacht, we can help you obtain certification as superyacht crew in our professional series of International Yachtmaster Training (IYT) courses. For both sets of courses you choose the pace you feel comfortable with, whether you prefer to learn at weekends or to take an intensive course over a number of weeks. Club Sail manages a fleet of modern high tec sailing and motor yachts that are in full Waterways and YA Sailing School survey, to suit any sailing course or level you aspire to. Our instructors are fully accredited, highly professional and experienced. All your sailing courses and sea time will be logged in your own sailing logbook, becoming an invaluable record as you explore other parts of the world through yacht charters, with your own yacht, or as crew on a superyacht.
